The Wilier Filante Hybrid e-bike was presented as one of the lightest e-road bikes on the market.

Surely it is so or almost, even if even in the past there has been no lack of e-bikes weighing 10 kg.

The "secret" is the same or almost the same for everyone: hub motor, 250wh battery; or the Fazua engine, again with a 250wh battery.

An excellent bike that, perhaps, discounts the technological progress of the sector.

The new Fazua Ride 60 motor, with its 430wh battery, has an overall weight almost equal to the Mahle hub and battery group, but is more powerful and allows for greater autonomy.

Aerodynamics are very accurate on this Wilier Filante, overall the frame and the availability of sizes are excellent.

Assemblies are also valid.

The flaws are different.

The prices are embarrassing to say the least.

The 12,500 euros for the top-of-the-range version will also be aligned with other competitors, but they are by far too much for a project that has nothing innovative or particular.

The autonomy is reduced for us, always criticized the 250wh battery, it is no coincidence for 2023 there will be several news on the subject.

The hub motor makes the e-bike easier to make, lighter, but we have always criticized it because it makes the rear wheel heavy and weight distribution less effective than a model with a bottom bracket motor.

Then there are also the advantages, such as the ease of maintenance, overhaul and replacement of the same engine.

But if the market is made up of the majority of e-bikes with bottom bracket motors, there will be a reason ...

Overall it's a nice e-bike, very effective and fast, but if you don't like to work hard, buy a nice Vespa, spend half the money and you'll have double the fun.

With the extra money (not all!) You buy a nice muscle bike and your body will thank you!
