The Domane AL 2023 2024 Gen 4 frame is available with different assemblies, the AL 4 version is the intermediate one with the Shimano Tiagra group and hydraulically controlled disc brakes.

Not a light bike, around 10.35 kg, which is why we would have preferred a shorter choice of gears, to make difficult climbs easier, but instead we chose the traditional 50/34 and 11/32 with 10 speeds.
Unfortunately this is a problem with all entry level racing bikes.

The ride comfort is of a good level, safety and ease of driving at the absolute top.
Good overall quality.
It weighs over 10kg, its only flaw.
Also we expected a greater increase in comfort and performance compared to a Gen 3.
Two thousand euros are starting to be an important figure for many and there is no shortage of alternatives, especially among entry level carbon frames, perhaps from lesser-known brands.
The Trek Domane AL 4 GEN 4 Disc 2023 2024 is a bike to be "enjoyed" calmly, to have fun, otherwise if you are looking for performance it is a disappointment.
