2024 New Scott Ransom weights prices technical data sheet features geometries everything you need to know

THE NEW RANSOM

Developed in close collaboration with SCOTT World Cup Enduro riders and world-class freeriders, the all-new Ransom features SCOTT's patented Integrated Suspension Technology (IST), with all-new 6-link kinematics providing an incredible ride experience. guide.

INTEGRATED SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY | 6‑BAR LINKAGE
The suspension characteristics were the key factor in the development of this bike. At the heart of the all-new Ransom sits a 6-link rear end paired with our integrated suspension system, giving us the freedom to further refine the suspension characteristics. With the suspension layout, you get great pedaling development, incredible grip when braking and fantastic support when pushing hard.
Discover the Technologies
All suspension design is a balancing act. Traditionally there are compromises to take into account between leverage ratio, Anti Squat and Anti Rise and how these influence the structure of the frame and the layout of the frame itself.

The 6-bar link allows us to choose exactly how the suspension behaves, giving us greater control to adjust each parameter independently of each other, resulting in fewer compromises and better balance control. By viewing the bike as a system, this flexibility allows us to design the sweet spot between suspension performance, efficient load transfer and an optimized frame layout.
Shock Access - Access to the integrated shock is operated via a button. The downtube cover found on all Ransom models provides equal access and protection. The cover is easily removable: just press the button, remove the cover and access to the shock absorber is guaranteed. The opening is spacious, greatly facilitating the passage of cables and everything related to maintenance.
CONSTRUCTION
Developed for heavy use in gravity disciplines, the Ransom's frame layout features meticulously engineered structural strength. The ability to evenly distribute load transfer across each frame element gives the Ransom its natural strength and provides a well-balanced ride feel.

We've optimized the Ransom's new geometry, combining various aspects for a confidence-inspiring ride in the hardest and fastest DH sections, but without compromising the bike's agility and precision when needed in tight turns and technical terrain.

Equipped with 29" wheels as standard, the Ransom can be ridden with a 27.5" rear wheel setup. Easily customizable using a simple flip chip, the bike is set up for 27.5” wheels at the rear depending on each rider's preferences.

As is the case with many of our mountain bikes, the head tube angle is adjustable. Choosing between a more upright and a more open setup allows you to adapt to your personal preferences, terrain and riding style.
Fully integrated into the downtube is the Syncros Matchbox Kit, which contains a tube, tire levers, chain tool and multi-tool. This solution is very functional and allows you to always have the necessary objects with you in case of a mechanical problem.
