in my opinion is to think of time and look
the first allows a greater movement, but has a smaller base
the latter has a wider base of support has has less freedom of movement.
If you do not have any particular problems morphological knee you should Look

And Shoes?

The Time xpresso are a viable alternative to look Keo Blade and allow greater freedom of movement.

Time RXS are also good, but heavier...

thanks Luka
Yes I did wonder about the small support base on speedplay. The advantage so I am told is that the pedal can be adjusted to a great extent to fir the rider. When your refered below to 'There is a pedal for the climb' - which one were you referring to - Time ?

You have a great pair of pedals. Even if there are many models on the market is good to choose a pedal that has a good support base, as you Look, Shimano SPD or Time. I've always been half-hearted, for the above reasons convince me less Speedplay pedals. In addition to the support base must consider the possibility of movement of the foot. For the transmission of power the foot should be locked to the pedal, but this could lead to inflammation in the knee or ankle, a slight chance of moving the foot is undoubtedly desirable. In this Time pedals are great. There is a pedal for the climb. The best thing is to have a pedal that is compatible with the morphology of your legs. If up until now you've got on well with Look is better to stay with Look, in the case of tests with different pedals it is preferable to use the utmost caution in order to avoid inflammation of the knee caused by the different positions of the foot on the pedals.

Hi All readers and Luca,

I would like to get opinions on Road Pedals - for club racing and climbing.

I currently use Look Keo Blade carbon 16. I find these very stable once clipped in, although not too easy to get in and out of. I have used Shimano 105 as well - not bad

Speedplay Zero look good to me and I have heard good reviews. I have not used Time pedals.

Any comments on which one to try and why ?
