The new Cannondale Moterra Neo Carbon 2023 E-Bike has been completely revised, although the project has not been upset and we can talk about evolution.

The new carbon frame allows the battery to be accommodated with greater autonomy, while the changes to the rear suspension are more theoretical than real, in the sense that they certainly do not make the difference with the previous model, at most it is an appreciable evolution.

Evolution that still has to be paid dearly, in line with the main competitors, but over 7500 euros for the cheaper version is really a lot for an e-bike, all in all simple and traditional.

The integrated lights and the radar are the umpteenth Must of the sector; they can also be useful, but they are not indispensable.

Good assembly, excellent in the Carbon 1 version.

The weight is not as low as one might think.

Another aspect to check is the suspension excursion, a downhill e-bike, not exclusively for downhill, but certainly not designed to make long stretches of plains or technical and fast climbs, however very valid overall in its category.

The only flaws are the high price and the only two versions available, finally add the high weight, net of the different assembly compared to the aluminum versions.

Our opinion that in e-bikes there is no convenience to use carbon frames, but then marketing makes them attractive by differentiating the assemblies, otherwise for the same components the greater weight would be completely negligible to the advantage of the lower cost.
