The development of Wireless brakes for racing, mtb, ebike and gravel bikes continues.

All major component and brake manufacturers in particular are working on this project.

Shimano seems to be the one most advanced in the project, but in general, in secret, everyone is working to bring Wireless brakes to their debut on the new 2025 bicycles.

As always we will start with the top of the range, and then move down to the cheaper groups.

The advantage of Wiereless brake groups is the usual one: more expensive, easier to assemble, more complicated, everyone or almost everyone gains...

It's easy to make inroads on the average cyclist: it's new, they're expensive, they make the bike more beautiful, without tubes.

The advantage ends there, even if everyone will later say that they are more powerful, safer and more adaptable...

For the company that produces them the advantage is that they cost more, therefore greater profits.

For the company that mounts them on its bikes, the advantage is that they cost more, so the bike will cost more and there will be greater revenue, but above all assembly is speeded up, reducing the industrial cost of the bicycle (which will instead cost the public moreover...).

For the shopkeeper there is the advantage that he sells a more expensive bike, with greater profit margins and with a component in which "do it yourself" is practically excluded... therefore greater profits even with maintenance.

This is why everyone is working hard on it and there is a competition to see who can get to the market first.

We believe that at the end of 2024 we will see the first groupset with wireless brakes in action and then in 2025 the first bicycles with wireless brakes.

Another standard that will become a reference, making current disc brakes suddenly age.
