Campagnolo at Eurobike Frankfurt 2025: Innovation and Development for 2026

Frankfurt, Germany – At Eurobike 2025, the international leading trade fair for the cycling industry, Campagnolo unveiled its product innovations for the 2026 range. The event highlighted the Vicenza-based brand's ongoing commitment to developing advanced technical solutions for road and gravel cycling, with a focus on efficiency, lightness, and technological integration.
New Iteration: Campagnolo Super Record Wireless 13V 2026 Groupset

The centerpiece of Campagnolo's presentations was the new Super Record Wireless 13V groupset. This drivetrain system represents an evolution of the company's current wireless offering, introducing a thirteenth speed and significant improvements in terms of weight, shifting speed, and battery life.
Technical Specifications and Innovations:

13-Speed Architecture: The introduction of the thirteenth sprocket aims to offer smoother shifting progression and a wider gear range, allowing cyclists to find the optimal cadence in various conditions. Rear cassette options include configurations starting with 10 and 11 teeth, such as 10-29, 10-33, 11-32, and 11-36. The 10-29 configuration offers the first 9 ratios with single-tooth jumps, optimizing progression.
Optimized Lightness: Despite the addition of a speed, the new Super Record Wireless 13V shows a weight reduction compared to the 12-speed version. This was achieved through targeted redesign of components.
Redesigned Derailleurs: Both the front and rear derailleurs have undergone a redesign process. The front derailleur features a lighter design and a new carbon cage with a wider chain-pull range, capable of handling chainrings with a range from 29 to 55 teeth. The battery's new front position improves clearance for larger rear tires. The rear derailleur is designed to be compatible with all rear gear combinations and offers two frame attachment options: the native Campagnolo UDH direct-mount hanger or a traditional hanger link.
Braking System: The brake calipers have also been lightened and optimized in size. Campagnolo now offers sintered pads to improve braking performance in wet conditions. Discs are available in 140 mm and 160 mm diameters.
Connectivity and Battery Life: The groupset is compatible with most popular bike computers and all devices featuring ANT+ protocol and Shifting Profile 2.0 functionality. Declared battery life under normal use is approximately 750 km, with a full charge in one hour (90% in 45 minutes).

Renewed Carbon Wheel Range for Disc Brakes

Alongside the new groupset, Campagnolo presented a renewal of its carbon wheel range dedicated to disc braking systems. This update reflects the continuous evolution of market demands and Campagnolo's commitment to providing wheels with advanced aerodynamic, lightweight, and control characteristics.
Key Features:

Aerodynamic Optimization: The new wheels incorporate aerodynamic profiles based on the "drop-shape" concept, inspired by the shape of a water droplet, to minimize air resistance.
Advanced Materials: The use of technologies such as H.U.L.C. (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon) and the C-LUX unpainted finish contributes to a significant overall weight reduction.
CULT Bearings: High-end wheels continue to use Campagnolo CULT (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) bearings, designed to minimize friction and maximize rolling efficiency.
Tire Compatibility: The internal rim width has been adjusted to optimize compatibility with new generations of tires, ensuring greater safety, comfort, and aerodynamic performance.
Disc Braking: The range is exclusively designed for disc brakes, solidifying Campagnolo's technological direction in this segment.

General Updates to Campagnolo 2026 Groupsets

In addition to the Super Record Wireless 13V, Campagnolo announced updates across its entire 2026 groupset range. These updates focus on improving performance and adapting to new cycling market trends. While specific details for each individual groupset were not extensively released, the general orientation is towards streamlining production and a strategic repositioning of the offering.

It was noted how the growing demand for wireless groupsets is influencing Campagnolo's production dynamics. This has led to a redefinition of the mechanical groupset range, with a possible focus on the Super Record and Chorus segments as reference options, implying a potential restructuring or discontinuation of other groupset levels in favor of greater specialization and innovation within the main lines.
Concluding Remarks

Campagnolo's presentations at Eurobike 2025 underscore a strategy focused on technological innovation and responding to the needs of an evolving cycling market. The introduction of the Super Record Wireless 13V and the renewed disc brake carbon wheel range represent significant steps aimed at enhancing the riding experience for high-level cyclists and enthusiasts alike. These developments position Campagnolo to maintain its relevance in the high-end cycling components landscape for the 2026 season.
