BH iGravelX NX Carbon 2.9 Shimano GRX Di2 2026 E-Bike: Test Ride and Review - Pros, Cons, Performance, and Everything You Need to Know
Build Quality
The BH iGravelX NX Carbon 2.9 Shimano GRX Di2 2026 e-bike has a high price, but it's significantly lower than some competitors. The top-of-the-line model costs €7,600, which is much less than the €12,000 others demand. While only two assemblies and four sizes are available—the latter being the bike's only real limitation—the overall build quality is good, offering a better value for the money than many rivals.
Frame
The frame is an excellent product and at the top of the market. The limited number of sizes is the bare minimum one could expect, making it difficult to find the perfect fit since the geometry varies significantly between sizes. There are no other major issues to report.
Assembly
The range of assemblies is relatively small, though the quality is high. The starting price of around €6,000 is competitive, and the components provided are superior to other bikes at a similar price point. The build and assembly quality are solid across all versions.
This is a good quality gravel e-bike with excellent performance. The real-world range exceeds 100 km, which is superior to its competitors. Even in the worst-case scenario, it's easy to get more than 80 km, again outperforming its rivals.
Comfort
The ride comfort is not the absolute best, as there are no true suspension systems. However, it is overall very good. While some gravel e-bikes are more comfortable, this bike's comfort is aligned with the best rigid-frame competitors that lack any kind of suspension system—an excellent result.
Handling
The BH iGravelX NX Carbon 2.9 Shimano GRX Di2 2026 is a gravel e-bike with great overall performance and, most importantly, is very easy and secure to ride. It's intuitive, always stable, and never demanding. It has just the right amount of agility and is extremely secure at high speeds and on descents. Braking is also excellent.
On asphalt roads, it rides as if on a rail, a testament to its stability and security. Overall, it's one of the easiest and most intuitive gravel e-bikes to ride, both on and off-road. Only the most experienced riders might wish for more agility on technical sections. This is a true gravel e-bike, perfect for fast routes on hard, flat surfaces, where it showcases its enviable handling, security, and stability—qualities that are superior to its direct competitors. Its behavior during touring use is excellent, requiring minimal riding effort.
Performance
The relatively low weight, excellent frame, and especially the powerful Bosch motor with its large-capacity battery lead to excellent overall performance. As is typical, without motor assistance, it is difficult to pedal due to the bike's weight. With maximum motor assistance, the real-world range exceeds 80 km, and with careful use and an auxiliary battery, you can exceed 130 km. The range depends on how much you use the motor, the climbs you face, and the rider's fitness level.
The motor assistance is always gradual and works perfectly at higher speeds, with an optimal pedaling cadence of around 80 revolutions per minute and constant pressure on the pedals. Otherwise, its performance is at the top of the category. It is an excellent gravel e-bike that is fast on climbs. It is also very fast on descents and excellent on flats. Its off-road performance is equally strong. This is a very competitive, high-performance gravel e-bike. While it may not be the best on the most technical off-road trails, it is very competitive on fast routes.
Pros and Cons
The BH iGravelX NX Carbon 2.9 Shimano GRX Di2 2026 is an excellent gravel e-bike. It doesn't have any major flaws; the bike is truly great in every way. The main drawbacks are the limited dealer network and the high costs for service, maintenance, and replacement parts.
Its strengths include its easy and secure handling, great real-world range, and overall performance. The price is also very competitive.
