Focus

I reply to all those ask me in private many personal considerations on bikes that I test, unfortunately you are many (thanks!) and I can not answer at all. Fortunately, you do all the same questions .... To which I gladly reply:
I would buy this bike and why?
Yes, even if I don’t like road disc bike
Defects? It isn’t very light and does not cheap ....
What would you change? The saddle
What upgrades would you do? A beautiful pair of carbon wheels ...
Is it a bike for Gran Fondo? Sure
Is it a bike suitable for climbing? To be with disc brakes, yes
Its performance is competitive? Yes ...
What alternatives are there to this model? There are many alternatives, I quote just a few:
Cannondale Synapse Disc
Giant Defy Disc
Bianchi Infinito CV Disc
Ridley Fenix Disc
What is the main advantage of Focus compared to direct competitors? The rigidity of the frame and the weight
I want the bike with the best price/performance ratio, is Focus right? Yes for a bike with disc brakes, otherwise better a bike with traditional brakes ...

After the technical analysis of the new Cayo Disc 2015, see how it really is the new Focus' bike. The bike being tested is assembled with Sram Red 2015 fully adopted, DT Swiss wheels, saddle Fi'zi:k.
