Brose is now a system supplier for e-bikes
One highlight is the new “Brose Drive System”, comprised of drive, battery and display. For the first time, Brose is offering all of the most important e-bike components from a single source. This results in e-bikes that can be precisely configured to meet a broad spectrum of demands. “Components work perfectly hand in hand. That way an optimal riding experience is created. At the same time, manufacturers and dealers benefit from a range of services from single source, which in turn also benefits consumers,” Leicht explains.
Thanks to the new Brose Drive C Mag and Brose Drive T Mag, e-bikers can now choose between seven different drives, from smooth to sporty. The new “Brose Battery 630” has a capacity of 630 watt hours, is integrated into the frame and is easily removable. A patented holding mechanism keeps the battery securely attached even when exposed to strong vibrations.
Brose offers three display variants: the “Brose Display Allround” is an all-in-one solution, with a shape similar to that of a smartwatch, the minimalist, super-slim “Brose Display Remote” is limited to only the most essential features and the screen-only variant “Brose Display Central” impresses e-bikers with a large display for a clear overview of all of the most important data.
New additions to the Brose Drive family: Aluminium and magnesium platforms
The Brose Drive product family remains at the core of the Brose Drive System and has been expanded with two drives featuring a magnesium housing: Brose Drive C Mag and Brose Drive T Mag. The design allows for a weight savings of 500 grams and a 15 percent smaller form factor than Brose drives with aluminium housing. Brose Drive offers the right drive for every category of e-bike application: the harmonious Brose Drive C for the city, the efficient Brose Drive T for longer tours, all the way to the Brose Drive TF that supports speeds of up to 45 kilometres per hour. The Drive S represents the product family’s very own elite athlete designed for sporty use in mountainous terrain.
Brose Service Tool: Digital tool for every scenario
The Brose Service Tool is another important component. The digital tool dramatically simplifies bicycle diagnosis and maintenance for service partners. Digital information on the bike can be stored, for example, or dealers can make individual adjustments to the drives. “The exchange during the trade days was immensely important to us. We had the opportunity to explain the Service Tool in-depth to dealers and gather valuable feedback,” says Leicht.
