Muc-Off Launches -50C Wet Lube for Cyclists Riding in Extreme Weather

Developed for cyclists riding in some of the harshest conditions on the planet, Muc-Off will launch a wet lubricant that can withstand temperatures of up to -50 degrees.

Maintaining its liquid state in conditions up to 5X greater than those that would freeze a conventional lubricant, the formulation is ideal for cyclists in locations such as Scandinavia, Canada and Russia. Rigorous testing was undertaken to achieve the optimum formulation that offers the ultimate extreme weather lubrication and corrosion protection.

Alex Trimnell, CEO of Muc-Off, said:

If you’re as obsessed about bikes as we are, even the harshest of conditions shouldn’t stop you from getting in the saddle. That’s why we developed -50C Wet Lube. It has two very specific purposes – to prevent your chain from freezing in sub-zero temperatures and to offer lasting lubrication over long distances.”

Muc-Off’s -50C Lube will come in a 50ml bottle and be available from September 2016. It will retail at £7 / € 10.95 / $8.99.
