Following “Marmottes” in the Pyrenees and Alps, the Austrian round is a new addition to the calendar. Marmotte Hochkönig kicks off the Marmotte Series on the 17th of June.

This brand new Marmotte Hochkönig Granfondo offers serious cyclists a real challenge with 167km and 3462m of altitude to attack in the hospitable and beautiful Salzburgerland. With a start and finish in Mülbach at the bottom of the Hochkönig, the highest mountain of the Berchtesgadner Alps is just an hour away from Salzburg. The course has 5 climbs with a tough, final ascent (9km) to Mühlbach-Arthurhaus at 1500m.

This Marmotte is the perfect chance to discover a new, uncharted cycling region. With its beautiful nature, impressive panoramas and perfect roads it is a true paradise for avid cyclists who enjoy climbing. Early arrivers can test themselves already on Thursday or Friday by climbing the Grossglockner (33,6 km at 5,2%). The Granfondo Marmotte Hochkönig itself starts at 7.30 am on Saturday 17 June.
