As we anticipated, Bianchi presented the new Bianchi Specialissima RC 2023 2024 racing bike.
The new Bianchi Specialissima 2023 2024 range is based on three models: Specialissima RC, Specialissima Pro, Specialissima Comp.
The weight of the new Bianchi Specialissima RC is 6.6Kg in the lightest configuration.
Improved aerodynamics and rigidity-to-weight ratio.
If the previous generation of Specialissima needed a gradient of 8.8% to guarantee an advantage to Pro athletes, this threshold has now been lowered to 6%.
A concrete advantage: compared to the previous generation, on a 10km climb at 6% the solutions adopted on the new Specialissima bring an advantage of 8.7 seconds for an athlete producing a power of 200 watts.
On the flat, the advantage at 200 watts becomes 31.19 seconds. For the strongest climbers in the world, capable of reaching 30 km/h on a 6% climb, the new Specialissima allows you to save as much as 3.6 watts of power.
These results were obtained thanks to the new aerodynamic profile of the tubes, which are inspired by the Bianchi Oltre RC, but with different sections to obtain a much lighter racing bike.
Every element of the new Bianchi Specialissima RC has been lightened and revised in its design.
For example, the paintwork is 40 grams lighter, the seat collar is integrated, more aerodynamic and lighter, the gear dropout is also new, also lighter and more aerodynamic.
Also new on the new Specialissima RC is the integrated handlebar, which is lighter and more aerodynamic.
Also new are the Bianchi Reparto Corse wheels with 33 mm rims, tubeless ready and compatible with tires up to 32 mm, and high quality Ceramitech hubs. The weight of the wheel pair is only 1,380 g.
These are the specifications of the three Bianchi Specialissima 2023 2024 versions:
Bianchi Specialissima RC
The lightest version, assembled with high-performance Bianchi components, such as the Specialissima RC handlebar, the Reparto Corse 33R wheels and the RC139 saddle.
Specialissima is available in a single color variant, with minimal use of paint to obtain a weight advantage of an additional 40 grams.
Bianchi Specialissima Pro
The Bianchi Specialissima Pro has the same aerodynamic cockpit as the Specialissima RC, and is equipped with Bianchi CV technology which eliminates vibrations, for superior comfort.
Bianchi Specialissima Pro is completed with Velomann Palladium wheels and a 139 mm Velomann Mitora Hyper saddle, and is available in two color variants, both opaque: metallic light blue shaded with carbon black, and gray with purple reflections (mystic gray) shaded with carbon black.
Bianchi Specialissima Comp
The Bianchi Specialissima Comp version, is the entry version to the new Specialissima range, is equipped with Velomann Palladium wheels and a 139 mm Mitora H1 saddle, and is available in two glossy color variants: the iconic light blue and an intriguing graphite.
The frame, in all three versions, is available in sizes 47, 50, 53, 55, 57 and 59, with a specific aero seat post in three different sizes, based on the size of the frame.
The new Specialissima will be available from the end of September 2023.
The price has not yet been officially communicated but we believe it will be aligned with the Oltre RC, therefore with prices starting from just over 3 thousand euros for the entry-level version to over 12 thousand euros for the top of the range version.
